ADOPTION
In Ephesians 1:7, Paul writes that the goal of our redemption was so that God could bring us to a place of adoption. This means that His purpose was that we are transformed into the image of His Son; (holy and blameless). For that to happen, He has (1) Redeemed us back to Himself by the power of the blood of Jesus, removing all the power of sin against us, and (2) He has blessed us with every spiritual Blessing out from the heavenly realm positioned in Christ. All that we need now is ours in Christ and has been supplied so that we have no lack in all that we need to allow the work of God’s grace to recreate us.
LIFE
In Johns Gospel 10:10, Jesus speaks of the work of the power and grace of God that is brought to us. He states that the devil has come to steal, kill, and destroy all that we are. But what Jesus has done, and continues to do is to release Life, and Life more abundant. “I have come that you may have life, and life more abundant”. This is the counter of God. Where death and its power once ruled your life, now God’s life and that life is for you and toward you with absolute abundance. This is a constant flow of kingdom power toward you so you have all you need to overcome all the works of the devil.
RESTORATION
In Psalm 103:1-5, we have revealed to us the things that are given to us at the price of reconciliation. We are restored in 5 areas in these verses. It is imperative that as believers, we read, study, and receive these as truly belonging to ourselves, and begin to confess them over our lives. They are (1) Forgiveness of ALL iniquities and sins. This is the first and most important, for from this, flows all the rest. (2) Who heals all your diseases. With this, we can stand in the confession that healing belongs to me. (3) Redeems my life from all that the devil has worked against me. He has delivered me from all oppression, brokenness, fear, addiction, and anything else that has controlled my life. “From all destruction”, (4) He has crowned me with His love and favor. That is, the ongoing present working power of His love. God is now ever-present with me to produce His perfect will against all opposition. And (5) He shall fill my mouth with a new confession of praise. I now speak and declare all the promises and victories of God over my life.
AUTHORITY
In Luke 10:17-20, the bible speaks about the 70 returning from their mission with great joy. The reason for the joy was because of the victory over the devil that they and witnessed. “Lord, even the demons were subject to us in Your name”. We as believers have been given the authority to become the children of God; John 1:12. This means we have the right to demonstrate the ministry of Jesus. Acts 10:38 states “how Jesus of Nazareth went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with Him”. Jesus told his disciples, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Believers, our victory is secured in Christ. When we know all that has been done and provided for and to us, we can stand and take our place. Redemption and adoption say that the devil has no part or authority over me. I am no longer his, but Christ. In life, I see all the power that is available to transform and revive me, and the creative and healing life of Christ that is ever-present to me. In restoration, I get to see all the blessings that belong to me and the full reconciliation that He has provided for me. My confession is transformed just like I am. And finally, In authority, I see the ever-present authority that belongs to me in Christ. I see that the battle is now my victory, and all the works of the devil are under my feet. I get to stand and command Satan’s kingdom off of both my life, and those around me, and as I do so, I know that “No weapon formed against me shall prosper”.
